Academix is a Digital Music, Media and Entertainment Arts education, mentoring and training program for students of all ages and skill levels. We are located in Downtown Los Angeles and powered by MUSIC to the Ears Foundation, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
What is a B.E.A.T Lab?

A BEAT Lab is an open-format learning environment where students can explore creative interests and cultivate their talents, with an entrepreneurship angle, which incorporates a mix of Business, Entertainment, Arts and Technology.

Our Methods

We combine a blended learning environment and proprietary teaching methods with the application of cutting-edge technology to enhance the learning process and stimulate creativity. We provide an open platform for aspiring students to explore and cultivate their creative interests and talents.
Entertainment Career Training

In addition to providing a platform for music and arts education, the program is also designed to support workforce development, career readiness programs, with a special emphasis on digital music education and entertainment career opportunities for a diverse population of underserved students in Los Angeles.
Academix Education Platform

We incorporate our proprietary (.miLP) teaching methods in our education platform. Music Intelligence Learning Principles (.miLP) is an education curriculum framework designed to help students meet world class academic standards and qualify for a career in the music and entertainment industry. Music Intelligence Learning Principles (.miLP) combine traditional and enhanced learning modalities to deliver a scalable music education curriculum framework for Instructors, Certified Moderators and Students.
